Tuesday, I went to the New Museum for a special presentation by Terra. Terra is like the CNN.com of Latino America. Terra is a comprehensive web portal and content provider covering news, sports, politics and entertainment for the Hispanic market. It was star-studded presentation with Mario Lopez (his dimples could cut diamonds), Olympian Dara Torres, Earl The Pearl Monroe, and Oliver Stone.

Oliver Stone was irascible as ever. He said that “television is a evil drain”, and amateur film makers were like “monkeys dancing on razor blades.” He is not a fan of the internet or HD, but he did take the the time to plug Wall Street 2.

As distracting as Oliver Stone was to the rest of problem, the big news is that Terra has two big sports partnerships with the NBA and MLB. Also, Terra will be covering the 2010 Olympics in Canada, the 2012 in London and of course the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro.

Another thing I took away from the presentation is the announcement of Tbox, a social network aggregator for the Terra community which uses Facebook Connect.
